1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing altercoding.vercel.app, hiring Alter Coding ("Company", "we", "us"), or commissioning any software development, artificial intelligence model, data science pipeline, or academic project guidance, you ("Client", "User", "You") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

If you do not agree to these terms in their entirety, you must not use our website or commission our services.

2. Services & Project Scope

Alter Coding provides technology services across two primary domains:

• Freelance & Custom Engineering: Custom AI models, Machine Learning pipelines, exploratory data science, Power BI dashboards, and full-stack web applications.
• Academic Project Guidance: Architectural design, complete source code delivery, project documentation reports (synopsis, SRS, final thesis reports), presentation slide decks, and 1-on-1 code explanation sessions for students and researchers.

Statement of Work (SOW): Prior to commencement, the scope of each project is established via written agreement, email confirmation, or invoice specifying deliverables, milestones, technologies, and deadlines. Work outside this documented scope is considered an add-on or scope variation.

3. Client Responsibilities

To ensure smooth delivery, the Client agrees to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and unambiguous project requirements and constraints.
• Provide required datasets, third-party API credentials, or institutional guidelines in a timely manner.
• Review intermediate milestone deliverables and provide constructive feedback within 3 to 5 business days of submission.
• Ensure that materials provided to Alter Coding do not infringe on any third-party copyrights or patents.

4. Pricing, Invoicing & Payments

Alter Coding offers transparent, requirement-based pricing tailored to your specific project needs:

• Requirement-Based Quotations: Pricing is customized based on individual project requirements, technical stack complexity, architectural scope, and delivery timelines. Detailed estimates are provided upfront with zero hidden fees.
• Milestone Scoping: Enterprise solutions, research capstones, and commercial software are quoted with clear milestones reflecting engineering effort and deliverables.
• Payment Schedules: Projects generally require an agreed upfront booking advance before development commences, with milestone demo verification prior to final source code and repository handover.
• Accepted Methods: UPI, direct bank transfers (NEFT/IMPS), and verified digital payment links.

5. Project Delivery & Revision Policy

We take pride in delivering software that works exactly as promised:

• Included Free Revisions: Every project includes reasonable revision rounds within seven (7) calendar days of initial delivery. Free revisions cover bug fixes, configuration adjustments, and refinements necessary to meet the originally agreed specifications.
• Scope Creep & Additions: Feature requests, architectural overhauls, changes in core algorithms, or new datasets introduced after project kickoff constitute scope expansions and will be quoted separately with adjusted completion timelines.
• Acceptance Period: If no bug reports or feedback are submitted within seven (7) days of final delivery, the project shall be deemed fully accepted and successfully completed.

6. Academic Guidance & Educational Integrity

While we provide complete source code, setup instructions, documentation templates, and presentations, the student remains responsible for understanding the material, preparing for internal reviews, and adhering to their academic institution’s honor codes and submission guidelines. Alter Coding does not guarantee specific letter grades, exam outcomes, or viva evaluations, as grading is determined solely by university faculty.

7. Intellectual Property & Ownership

• Client Ownership: Upon full and final settlement of all agreed fees, the Client is granted full ownership and commercial rights to the custom source code, documentation, and presentations produced specifically for their project.
• Pre-Existing Tools & Libraries: Alter Coding retains all rights to its pre-existing boilerplate code, reusable internal algorithms, starter templates, and open-source dependencies used in constructing the project.
• Portfolio Rights: Alter Coding reserves the right to showcase non-confidential project titles, anonymized architecture diagrams, and general descriptions in our portfolio and marketing materials unless a specific Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) has been executed.

8. Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure

Alter Coding treats all proprietary client ideas, trade secrets, sensitive business data, and research datasets with strict confidentiality. We do not sell, license, or share your proprietary data with unauthorized third parties without your explicit consent.

9. Limitation of Liability & Warranties

All software, models, and code delivered by Alter Coding are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we perform thorough testing and adhere to industry best practices, Alter Coding does not warrant that software execution will be uninterrupted, error-free across every operating system, or impervious to third-party API deprecations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Alter Coding shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages (including loss of business profits, academic penalties, server downtime, or data corruption) arising from the use of our services or software code.

10. Termination of Services

Either party may terminate a project engagement upon written notice if the other party materially breaches these terms and fails to remedy the breach within five (5) business days. In the event of early termination by the Client, payment will be due for all work performed and milestones completed up to the date of termination.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising out of or related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
